Health & Fitness
We are very proud to announce that we are the first of six schools in Brixham to have been added to the Government's brand new "Healthy School's National Database" - see www.healthyschools.gov.uk - for further information.
This shows our commitment to the promotion of good physical, mental and emotional health for everyone here at Chestnut Primary! We could not have achieved this accolade without the strength and hard work of our 'succesful triangular partnership' between School/Parents/Children. See the further links below to find out how we are a part of many special events and organisations:-

Chestnut joins nationwide 'Walk to School Week'
At 8:00 on Monday 20th October, Palm Radio DJ, xxxxxxxxxx,
and Phil Cornish, Torbay Council's Travel Officer, joined our children
and staff 'walking bus' beginning from Brixham Library, up Bolton
Street, through St. Mary's Square and onto Chestnut Drive reaching
school at 8:45. At 8:30, we stopped for xxxxxxxx to make a live link with
Palm Radio (105.5 FM), which needed the loudest of cheers, and the children,
their parents and all the staff, duly obliged!
You can see more photos of the walk on the Palm website at www.palm.fm
